About Tourmasters

Tourmasters South Pacific was established in 1987 and pioneered a programme of packaged coach tours for free independent travellers in New Zealand, providing a range of innovative itineraries and accommodation options combined with travel by coach, train and airplane.

Further developments saw Tourmasters diversify, establishing complementary products, including a high quality self drive programme and a tailor-made luxury brand. In 2001, Tourmasters extended its range further with the amalgamation of Magic Travellers Network, New Zealand's most trusted 'hop on hop off' travel network for independent travellers. This was followed by the introduction of an Adventure Holiday brand to cater for the needs of the increasing 'flashpacker' market.

With an emphasis placed on quality, 2006 brought about a major achievement, wTourmasters officeith Tourmasters becoming the first New Zealand Tour Operator to achieve Qualmark status.

2007 saw Tourmasters purchase the packaging division of Tourism Holdings Limited, adding a number of recognised and established brands to the ever expanding Tourmasters family. In 2007 Tourmasters also celebrated two successes at the Tourism Industry Awards, winning Tourism Distribution and Visitor Transport. In 2008 Tourmasters added to this collection of Tourism Industry Awards by winning the Tourism Distribution category for the second year in a row, and also the Supreme Award and Qualmark Mark of Quality Award for Magic Travellers Network.

The team includes a number of staff that are fluent in a variety of languages and familiar with customs and requirements of other cultures. With employees based in the Auckland office and dedicated representation in Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown, Australia, United Kingdom and the USA, all supported by a 7 day a week office operation.
